Started by Adam St. Laurent and Jeffrey A Siegfried, White Pompous Gods is as much a force of nature as a rock band. Bringing back the raw, hungry energy of punk and slamming it together with the tasty riffs of 80's style arena rock, WPG crushes audiences with its music and attitude. White Pompous Gods perform like every single show is the end of the world. They bring everything to the stage and leave nothing but screaming after. Pounding drums, screaming guitars and in your face shows make this band something to behold.
Drawing on such influences as Motley Crue, KISS, Alice Cooper, Twisted Sister, and even the Plasmatics, WPG is putting their own unique slant on the styles their favorite bands developed. The band is especially proud of the unexpected looks on the faces of rock fans when arena style, "balls to the wall" rock and roll is brought to their club. The genuine gratitude post concert only solidifies that WPG is giving the people what they want.
White Pompous Gods has been described as a hungrier Motley Crue, a more raw KISS, a nastier Twisted Sister, and even a heavier Poison. White Pompous Gods believes in rock and roll, and they are making fans everywhere come back to what rock and roll is all about: Guitars, Girls and Good Times! Raise your fist and believe again, because the gods ARE coming to bring back REAL rock and roll.
In 2009 WPG released their debut album, WHITE POMPOUS GODS, to iTunes and Amazon. They began the year with bright expectations and started their run at rock stardom. Making videos and posting constantly for an international audience on various websites has been their current method. Getting the music is good, but getting the whole package is even better. The whole world is a stage, but the internet is one everyone now has in common. After numerous setbacks, the band took moderate success as a sign. Time to push this in some faces.
In 2010, the band finished touring on their debut CD and set to work on a new CD (currently to be titled "Fireworks and Alcohol") and recorded a Live CD, "Live Gods at the Bungalow" This new live CD has included bonus tracks from the first CD as well as a couple songs from the upcoming album. Fans at the club went crazy for the band, and their performance shows what is possible in a small setting.
Time for something big. The band is in the midst of shooting numerous music videos from their own budget. Why wait for the music industry to turn towards us, when we can turn the world our way first? Plans for a tour are in the works this year, and the band is seeking new management to set them on their way to making the world believe again.
Careful what you pray for ... the Gods are coming.
